President al-Assad Inaugurates Sheraton Hotel of Aleppo
President al-Assad yesterday inaugurated the new Sheraton Hotel in Aleppo which was built on an area of 7860 sq. meters in Bab alFaraj area in down town Aleppo ,which is comprised of 19 suites and 181 rooms.
Minister of Tourism Saadullah Agha al-Qalaa on Sunday discussed with Kuwaiti 'Jawad Bu-Khamis' Holding Company the situation of Kuwaiti tourist investments in Syria and procedures and facilities taken by the Government to encourage investments.
Premier opens International Tourism Investment Market , GDP 1213 billions S.P
Premier Mohammad Naji Ottri on Tuesday said that Gross Domestic Product (GDP) maintained an economic growth rate with 4.5% in 2005, reaching to 5.1 in 2006, adding GDP valued at 1213 billion Syrian pounds in 2006.
Rally of "Discover Syria 2007 " competitions started Wednesday with the participation of 124 people from 14 Arab and foreign countries. It is organized by Tourism Ministry in cooperation with Syrian Automobile Club. At The starting point was Minister of Tourism Saadullah Agha al-Qalaa who gave the starting sign. The race sets off from Damascus into Mashta al-Houlo in Tartous crossing Syrian central city of Homs. Actors from Syria, Lebanon and Egypt participate in the race totaling a distance of 1116 KM cut of by the participants in three days.
